Design and execute comprehensive energy access programs, focusing on home solar systems and mini-grids for Orang Asli and Orang Asal communities.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including government ministries, agencies, local communities, and technical partners, to ensure successful program implementation.
Oversee project planning, including feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical design.
Ensure volunteer events with partners and donors are planned, managed and executed smoothly.
Ensure the technical quality and reliability of installed energy systems through collaboration with the technical team and supplier vetting.
Develop and enforce standards and protocols for system installation, operation, and maintenance.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to guarantee compliance with safety and performance standards.
Work closely with local communities to understand their energy needs and preferences.
Develop and deliver training programs for community members on system usage, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
Foster local ownership and participation in energy projects, promoting sustainability and long-term success.
Prepare and manage the energy access program budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
Secure funding and manage relationships with donors and investors.
Provide detailed progress reports to the executive team, board of directors, and funding partners.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in renewable energy technologies and best practices.
Explore and pilot innovative solutions to enhance energy access and efficiency.
Gather and analyze data to continuously improve program impact and scalability.
Ensure all projects comply with national and local regulations and standards.
Advocate for supportive policies and regulations to promote renewable energy adoption in off-grid areas.
Represent the organization in industry forums, conferences, and policy discussions.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 5-7 years working experience in social entrepreneurship, education, energy access or nonprofit sector

Necessary technical, functional or language skills:
Passionate in community development and management in both individual and wide community intervention;
Working knowledge and implementation of Google Suites, computers and current communication technology as work tools.
Strong proficiency in English essential (oral and written);
Excellent people and community skill;
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationship with others;
Understanding of SOLS Foundation’s values, principles and objectives and demonstrated ability to put them into practice in the workplace;
Proven ability in the areas of organisation skills, conflict resolution, advocacy and group facilitation;
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
