Edvolution is seeking a skilled and dedicated Finance Manager who is passionate about our
mission and our work, to build a high-performing team, foster a culture of excellence, and optimise
our operations for long-term growth.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, ensuring compliance,
and driving cost-saving measures.
You will report directly to the COO and be based in Kuala Lumpur. You will work closely with the
leadership team to meet organisational objectives. There will be occasional work on weekends or
after hours to meet urgent deadlines.
Responsibilities
π» Key Responsibilities
1) Financial Management and Oversight
β Financial Processes: Establish comprehensive financial processes and procedures to
promote clarity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the organisation.
β Payroll, Bookkeeping, and Accounting: Manage payroll operations inclusive of statutory
payments (EPF, SOCSO, EIS), including processing, compliance, and timely disbursement.
Oversee bookkeeping and accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records and
compliance with regulatory requirements.
β Payments and Claims Management: Oversee all vendor payments and employee claims,
ensuring timely and accurate disbursement. Track and manage these payments to maintain
financial accuracy and integrity.
β Budgeting and Reporting: Manage monthly budgeting and expense reporting, ensuring
responsible spending and achieving budget and savings targets. Calculate and monitor cash
flow burnout rates, ensuring they remain at or below targeted levels.
β Audits and Compliance: Work with external auditors and tax agents to ensure smooth and
successful audits, as well as tax compliance.
β Proposals Budgeting: Lead the financial aspects of proposal budgeting, including
calculating necessary resources, man-hours, and other costs.
Requirements

1) Knowledge and Skills
β At least 5 years of experience in operations or finance.
β Experience with bookkeeping, accounting principles, and budgeting.
β Experience with creating financial models, planning, setting and monitoring budgets, as well
as audit and tax processes.
β Exposure to non-profit organisations or social enterprises is desirable.
β Able to work virtually, including usage of Google Workspace, Zoom, etc.
