Cheryl is a part of the early founding team at Grab. She leads marketing and sustainability for the group, covering all of Grab’s business verticals, including mobility, deliveries, financial services, and enterprise. She oversees Grab’s marketing and sustainability efforts across the region, leading a team of over 500 across Southeast Asia.
Currently, she serves as a Non-Executive Director of Malaysia Airlines Berhad and Malaysia Aviation Group Berhad. She is also a member of the Global Executive Committee of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), a committee member of Tengah Island Conservation, and a 2021 Acumen fellow.
Cheryl has spent a decade in leadership roles in the digital space, primarily within technology companies such as MOL Global and Friendster. Additionally, she led The New Straits Times Press Group’s digital arm and served as the Group Digital General Manager at Nissan Malaysia. Throughout her career, she has developed a profound understanding of digital audiences and how to build businesses around them. Over the years, Cheryl has been invited to speak and serve as a panelist at various technology, startup, and digital marketing conferences and forums.
Her accolades include being named to the Asia-Pacific Power List 2020, receiving the Women Leading Change Awards 2020, being recognized in the Influence 100 2020, and being a finalist for WFA Global Marketer of the Year 2019.
