Native Discovery, through its non-profit arm Native Allies, has launched The Native Fellowship—a groundbreaking leadership programme designed specifically for Orang Asli leaders in Malaysia. The six-month fellowship aims to develop leadership capacity, foster networks among Orang Asli communities, and support community-based initiatives such as eco-tourism, cultural preservation, and small-scale enterprises.
Applications for the fellowship are now open until 23 June 2025. The programme includes physical and virtual gatherings, with all expenses (including travel) covered. Participants will also receive lifetime membership to the Native Fellowship network.
Key eligibility criteria include being Orang Asli aged 18 or older, possessing leadership experience, and being committed to the empowerment of their communities.
