Malaysia Teacher Prize 2023: Recognising Our Nation's Builders

The Malaysia Teacher Prize has returned for its second year to celebrate exceptional educators in Malaysia. Organised by PEMIMPIN GSL with the support of YTL Foundation, Yayasan Hasanah and ECM Libra Foundation, the Malaysian edition of the Varkey Foundation’s renowned Global Teacher Prize will award its winner with a cash prize of RM 50,000 while  the Top 5 Finalists will receive RM 5,000 each.

Applications for Malaysia Teacher Prize 2023 will officially commence April 4, 2023 at https://malaysiateacherprize.org/, and will run until July 2, 2023. The application is open to all in-service teachers in Malaysia who teach students that are in compulsory schooling using the national curriculum.

Teachers interested in applying for the award can create an account and start their application through the portal. Each candidate will only be allowed one application and is required to:

• Complete five essays of 300-500 words each in either Bahasa Melayu or English.
• Upload supporting materials in the form of documents, graphics, or videos.
