More than 300 mothers gathered in Kuala Lumpur for the Nicol David Organisation's (NDO) Ibu Legends Summit 2026, a day dedicated to reminding mothers that they deserve to be seen, celebrated and supported, not just for what they do for others but for who they are. Themed “You Are the Cover Star,” the Summit gave mothers a safe and empowering space to learn, connect, share their experiences and celebrate who they are beyond their roles as mothers and caregivers. This is the second year of the Summit and its largest yet.
Ahead of the Summit, NDO ran a Cover Star Search that invited mothers to submit a photograph of a day in their lives along with a personal story. Nor Santy binti Samsinoor, 47, a mother of six, won with her heartfelt story.
The Summit is an extension of NDO's ongoing Ibu Legends programme. Launched in 2024, the programme supports B40 mothers with workshops and activities covering mental wellbeing, parenting, nutrition, physical wellbeing and financial literacy. Ibu Legends is one of three NDO flagship programmes, alongside Little Legends and +Play. The Ibu Legends Summit 2026 is sponsored by Yayasan Hasanah, Cartier and Watsons.
