Responsibilities
As an intern in the Fundraising and Partnerships team, you will play an important role in securing multi-year funding for quality education for autistic children from low-income families.
This internship offers hands-on experience in fundraising, stakeholder management, project coordination, and communications. One of your main tasks will be running our annual crowdfunding campaign during Ramadan.
Fundraising, Events and Communications Support
• Prepare the Ramadan crowdfunding campaign together with the Manager of Fundraising and Partnerships.
• Help prepare donor proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials.
• Monitor crowdfunding campaign performance and contribute ideas for improvement.
• Assist in organising fundraising events and donor appreciation activities.
• Coordinate logistics, invitations, and post-event follow-up.
• Support project tracking and reporting to ensure alignment with fundraising goals.
• Drafting newsletters and social media posts.
Learning Outcomes
• Gain practical experience in nonprofit fundraising and partnership development.
• Build skills in donor communications, proposal writing, and event planning.
• Understand the operational dynamics of a not-for-profit organisation.
Requirements
Candidate Requirement
• Minimum enrolled or graduated in Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or any other relevant field.
• Based in Kuala Lumpur and willingness to work from our HQ or the centres in Rawang, Nilai and PD.
• Passionate about special needs education, disability inclusion, and social equity.
• Strong in written and verbal communication (English and Malay).
• Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools.
• Professional with attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT).
