Pravin Periasamy

Philosopher Pravin Periasamy is the Networking and Partnerships Director of the Malaysian Philosophy Society and an accomplished columnist. Through the society’s programmes such as My PhilLabs which allows students to establish philosophy clubs on campus, Periasamy is helping to cultivate a generation that isn’t afraid to question, challenge and seek beyond what lies on the surface–working to find a place for philosophy in Malaysian public policy. Outside the society, he has written for Malaysiakini, Business Today and Malaysia Insight, using his background knowledge to push authorities towards fairer and more sustainable choices in social affairs.

To leave an impact is not only to inspire, but to empower others into believing that the power to inspire is also within their grasp. This, above all else, is the highest of all human aspirations for it is only through an inspired society that the very height of civilization is conceived.
