Edvolution Enterprise is seeking a dedicated and skilled Teacher Development Coach &
Coordinator to join our Teacher Leadership Development team. This role offers a unique
opportunity to make a meaningful impact on teachers and students across Malaysia.
As the Teacher Development Coach & Coordinator, you will provide teacher support and oversee
programme coordination, ensuring successful delivery of training activities, data tracking, and
communication. You will foster an environment of trust and connectedness, encouraging open
communication and mutual respect to support teachers’ professional growth and their
implementation of Literacy and Numeracy Learning Recovery Plans. Additionally, you will conduct
school visits and classroom observations to monitor progress, offer on-site support, and strengthen
relationships with school leadership.
You will report to the Training and Development Manager and collaborate with the broader team to
achieve programme objectives. This position is based in various parts of Sabah and requires
occasional travel to Kuala Lumpur for in-person meetings. Some weekend or after-hours work may
be required to support programme delivery or meet urgent deadlines.
Responsibilities
💻 Key Responsibilities
Key Measure of Success (includes but is not limited to):
● Improved teacher mastery, attendance, and confidence in leadership and pedagogical
competencies (this includes teachers’ ability to apply the knowledge/skills learned in the
classrooms).
● Successful planning, implementation, and scaling of teachers’ Literacy and Numeracy
Learning Recovery Plans, including mobile application integration to enhance remedial
students’ proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics.
● Improved students’ reading and numeracy skills based on MOE’s diagnostic tools and
benchmark.
● Successful transition of remedial students into mainstream classes, demonstrating
improved reading and numeracy skills.
1) Teacher Development and Coaching
● Manage and support a group of teachers through monthly group coaching, school visits, and
individual check-ins.
● Conduct classroom observations and guide teachers in applying training outcomes to
improve teaching and learning.
● Coach and coordinate teachers to:
○ Develop and implement Literacy and Numeracy Learning Recovery Plans using data.
○ Integrate mobile applications into teaching and learning.
○ Engage parents and communities to support student learning.
○ Plan, create, and implement home-based learning materials for students.
○ Learn and apply pedagogical skills in social-emotional learning, differentiated
teaching, and collaborative and play learning, lesson planning, and classroom
management.
● Continuously developing your coaching skills and knowledge to provide impactful support.
2) Programme Coordination
● Track teacher progress through weekly and monthly data collection and reporting (e.g.,
attendance / participation, workshop mastery, progress of literacy and numeracy project
implementation, growth in leadership and pedagogical competencies - baseline, mid-term,
and final assessments).
● Track student progress through weekly and monthly data collection and reporting (e.g.,
attendance / participation, reading and numeracy progress, growth based on diagnostics,
monthly assessments, mid-term assessments, and final assessments).
● Prepare monthly progress reports and timesheets promptly.
● Identify and support at-risk teachers with tailored plans.
● Establish and maintain strong relationships with district education officers, school
leadership, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders.
● Prepare teachers and conduct rehearsals ahead of key events.
● Provide technical support for using learning management systems and literacy and
numeracy mobile applications.
● Manage programme logistics to ensure seamless implementation.
3) Overall Programme Implementation
● Work with the Leadership Development team to:
○ Deliver Edvolution’s leadership programme through workshops and group coaching.
○ Set the direction of workshops and group coaching based on best practices.
○ Identify insights and learnings, and actions for continuous improvement..

1) Knowledge and Skills
● 3 to 5 years of working experience in the education field.
● Familiarity with the Malaysian public school system is essential.
● Academic background in Education, Psychology, Management, or a related field (minimum
Bachelor's degree).
● Certified or experienced in coaching for personal and professional growth.
● Proficient in English and Malay (written and verbal).
● Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Sheet, and Google Slides,
and other digital tools for education.
