WAO is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Social Worker to provide case management services to clients in need, especially survivors of gender-based violence. The role includes developing and implementing case plans, conducting assessments, offering advice, and supporting clients in their recovery journey. This position is based at the WAO Refuge/Office and requires collaboration with shelter staff and external stakeholders.

Refer clients to appropriate services and accompany them to institutions when needed
Attend to WAO hotlines and helplines
Provide follow-up support and documentation
Conduct training and advocacy sessions
Monitor and report on law and policy implementation
Maintain statistical data and assist in reporting

Strong commitment to feminist principles
Background in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related fields
Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; must be able to speak Mandarin
Compassionate, non-judgmental, and survivor-centered approach
Ability to work under stress and with diverse populations
