Malaysia’s social work profession has reached a historic milestone. The Social Work Profession Bill has passed the Dewan Negara, completing its passage through both Houses of Parliament after years of advocacy and collaboration. The Bill will now move through Royal Assent and gazettement before phased implementation, paving the way for a more professional, ethical and trusted social work sector.
