Department: Reports to Management. Location: Remote and in Pulau Omadal, Sabah.
Iskul is a community-run project that was initiated in 2015 to provide basic literacy for stateless children at Omadal Island
in Semporna, Sabah, Malaysia. The word ‘Iskul’ means ‘school’ in the Bajau Laut language of stateless children. Iskul’s vision is to build young leaders among the stateless and local communities through holistic education. We will reach this by fostering inclusivity among communities with and without nationality, and bringing out the voices of the stateless and
Assist in monitoring the progress of project against the deliverables.
Managing communications with Iskul field team and the public.
Managing Iskul's social-media.
Collect data for evaluation and reporting (remind the field team to take data e.g. evaluation test, collecting BMI, field
Track financial spending and prepare financial report forfunders.
Prepare monthly Iskul's progress to donors.
May be required to stay on the island every 3-4 months.
Assist the president directly with any other work.
Requirements: Passionate about children and statelessness
issue and willing to learn.
