We are seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to independently manage the execution phase of our new office and laboratory development. The role involves hands-on real estate due diligence, construction execution management, and coordinating refurbishment projects across various clinical settings. The position ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with local regulations under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities
Execute physical property searches, site visits, and initial technical evaluations for new office and lab development.
Liaise with property agents, developers, and authorities (City Council, Fire & Rescue Department) to secure approvals.
Manage the execution phase of full-cycle construction projects, including mobilisation, daily monitoring, quality checks, and handover.
Oversee consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
Manage and coordinate refurbishment projects for clinic settings across different states.
Prepare, submit, and track documentation required for building permits, renovation approvals, and lab operational licences.
Monitor project schedules, costs, and resources; prepare timely reports for the Facilities Manager.
Implement and enforce HSE policies; act as the main safety contact.
Identify and propose solutions for technical or operational issues on-site.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related technical field.
2–4 years of hands-on experience in facilities development, construction coordination, or site supervision.
Experience with legal compliance or property due diligence is a plus.
Strong understanding of construction techniques, building regulations, and project administration.
Excellent documentation, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Proficient in MS Project, basic drafting/design viewing software, and MS Office.
PMP/CCPM certification is an added advantage.
Willing to travel within Malaysia for site development and supervision.
