Program Manager - Women's Empowerment and Leadership
Description
The Penang Women’s Development Corporation (PWDC) is a state-linked agency established to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in Penang. It works closely with government bodies, civil society, and communities to mainstream gender perspectives in policy-making, support women’s leadership, and build inclusive development platforms. PWDC’s initiatives focus on institutional reform, capacity building, and promoting social inclusion for all genders.
Requirements
Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent qualification in Political Science, Gender Studies, Social Work, or a related field.
Have at least one (1) year of experience in program coordination related to gender, politics, social justice, or stakeholder engagement.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills in Malay and/or English. The ability to speak Mandarin and/or Tamil is an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for documentation, presentation slides, and related tasks.
Ability to work independently and in a team, with good time management skills.
