A full-time, on-site teaching position beginning in September 2025. The role requires teaching core primary-level subjects using a Cambridge-based curriculum tailored for refugee students. Ideal candidates must be adaptable and committed to alternative learning environments.
Responsibilities
Teach and maintain subject knowledge in English, Science, Maths, or Bahasa Malaysia (preferably more than one subject)
Adapt lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs
Create an inclusive and safe classroom environment
Use positive behaviour management techniques to maintain discipline
Assess student progress and provide feedback
Actively participate in school events, performances, and extracurriculars
Collaborate with the wider teaching team to support holistic development
Foster confidence, emotional intelligence, and growth mindset
Engage with students’ families and communities to build strong partnerships
Requirements
Minimum 1 year teaching experience in relevant primary-level subjects
Passion for education and working with children
Energetic, creative, and open to non-traditional teaching methods
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Willing to travel for school-related events or training
Comfortable in a multicultural, refugee-inclusive environment
