Manager - Sustainability (Responsible & Sustainable Financing)

Overview

The Manager - Sustainability (Responsible & Sustainable Financing) will be reporting to the Chief Sustainability Office and to act as the main coordinator and enabler of the Bank’s sustainability efforts by identifying, strategising, measuring, and mitigating climate action plans and targets while advocating for greener financing solutions and a low-carbon economy.

Job Responsibilities

Facilitate the creation of innovative sustainable financing solutions to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.Coordinate with lines of business and functions to drive growth in sustainable finance.Manage and coordinate sustainable financing initiatives such as green bond framework, green and sustainable securitizations, VBI, sustainability-linked loans etc.Stay up-to-date with emerging environmental regulations, industry best practices and local and international taxonomies to ensure compliance and promote sustainable business practices.Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, industry experts, and clients, to drive positive change and sustainable outcomes.Support the other sustainability initiatives led and/or coordinated by the Sustainability division.

Job Requirement

Malaysian citizen.Degree-level qualifications in climatology, applied climatology, environmental science, environmental geology or a related discipline.5 year experience and above in climate-related fields, climate finance, sustainable finance, banking, environmental science, environmental geology or a similar field.Strong technical proficiency in the sciences, with a solid understanding of climate change and environmental risk assessment and mitigation strategies.Excellent communication skills to effectively advocate for environmentally responsible strategies and engage stakeholders.
