The Malaysian Programmes intern will contribute towards the overall programme quality through research, design, analysis and administrative support.
Responsibilities
• Develop a knowledge database for World Vision Malaysia's Malaysian Programmes by researching and collating global as well as national statistics on various sectors: education, child protection, health and nutrition as well as poverty
• Assist in data collection, entry, processing and analysis for various projects
• Assist in the implementation of the Eat Right to Play Right (Badminton) programme among local communities
• Contribute to designing of initiatives, projects or programmes
• Prepare relevant Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials as needed
• Provide administrative support on an as-needed basis
• Other relevant tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor
Requirements
• Currently pursuing a bachelors in Public Health, Medicine, Nutrition Science, Dietetics, Psychology, Public Policy, Education, Social Work or related field
• Able to work with minimum supervision and with different teams of people while meeting deadlines
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Melayu (written and spoken)
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Sensitive to the different cultures we work with and in
• Able to work on some weekends
• Knowledge on data analysis software e.g. Epi Info, SPSS is an added advantage
