๐ฐ Salary: RM2,000 โ RM3,000/month (inclusive of EPF & SOCSO; based on experience)
1. Facilities Maintenance & Repairs
- Oversee daily inspection and maintenance of school facilities including classrooms, offices, labs, toilets, lighting, ACs and all school equipments
- Oversee and supervise school cleaners to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment for students and staff.
- Conduct minor repairs and coordinate external contractors for major works
- Ensure maintenance is scheduled and completed on time (electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and school departments
2. Safety, Security & Compliance
- Ensure the school meets health, safety, and fire compliance requirements
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments on school facilities
- Maintain and monitor safety equipment (fire extinguishers, alarms, first-aid kits, emergency lighting, CCTV, etc.)
- Assist with emergency procedures, drills, and evacuation planning
- Ensure all school areas are safe and hazard-free
3. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Source quotations, schedule servicing, and supervise contractors on site
- Ensure works are completed to safety and quality standards
- Maintain records of service agreements and warranty schedules
4. School Operations & Event Support
- Prepare venues, seating, audio-visual and logistics for school events, assemblies, meetings, and other related activities
- Support setup for exam halls, parent events, school celebrations, and external activities
- Work with Academic and Administration teams to ensure operational needs are met
5. Asset & Inventory Management
- Maintain records of school assets, furniture, and maintenance tools
- Monitor stock of supplies (light bulbs, locks, spare parts, etc.) and coordinate procurement
6. Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance logs, incident reports, inspection checklists, and service records
- Provide regular updates and reports to management
- Assist in budgeting and tracking expenses related to facilities ar maintenance
Requirements
- Diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Maintenance or related field (preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience)
- Minimum 2 years in facilities maintenance, building management, or similar role
- Experience in a school environment is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, air-conditioning, and general repairs
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance for school facilities
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, maintenance tracking)
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Calm and reliable in handling emergencies
- Child-safe mindset with professional conduct around students
- Physically fit to perform regular site inspections and minor maintenance tasks
- Willing to work occasional evenings or weekends for school events or urgent matters
- Ability to respond to on-site emergencies when required
