The launch of the "AIR KITA, TANGGUNGJAWAB SEMUA" Campaign or abbreviated as #AirKita by the FORUM AIR; EcoKnights, in cooperation with the National Water Services Commission (SPAN). It is a proactive initiative to improve effective and prudent two-way communication between the community and the regulatory body the national water service which is the National Water Service Commission (SPAN).
EcoKnights has been appointed by SPAN to function as an independent organization that represents and bringing the voice of users known as FORUM AIR from January 1, 2023 to December 2024. The appointment is in line with the provisions in Section 70, Industry Act Water Services 2006 [Act 655].
With the launch of this #AirKita campaign, EcoKnights is confident that the communication gap between users and SPAN as well as water supply and public sewage operators can be reduced.
Moreover, it will facilitate efforts to jointly preserve the established water service.
Among the steps that will be carried out is to collect feedback from the users of water services through various platforms either digitally (online) or face-to-face through campaigns in strategic locations. EcoKnights believes that the voice of the consumer is significant and needs to be examined holistically to create solution for a related water service issue.
The implementation of this campaign has the potential to increase the active involvement of the community in joint ventures
to manage and preserve water for the benefit of the environment. Accordingly, the #AirKita campaign aims to highlight the role of those who are experienced and knowledgeable to ensure that the objectives of this campaign are achieved through education as well as through sharing transparent and clear messages about water service issues.
In ensuring comprehensive access, EcoKnights will also collaborate with other non-governmental organizations related to the environment and water such as Water UM Warriors, Alliance of River Three, Friends of Rivers and others.
After all, water is a basic human need that needs to be taken care of and protected with a sense of responsibility. Any feedback or issues regarding management or water and sewage services can be lodged on the #AirKita Campaign official website: https://www.airkita.org.my/
