The Country Programme Coordinator is responsible to support World Vision Malaysia (WVM) funded programmes/projects through promoting and strengthening trust and relationship with the National Offices (NOs). They will also support work in the field in technical Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (DME), as well as in funding to ensure support is provided to enhance quality and sustainability of the programmes.
Responsibilities
Review reports such as annual and semi-annual reports as well as budgets and carry-forward submitted by Field Offices (FOs) of their respective Area Programmes (AP) to ensure programme oversight and fiduciary responsibility
Review and provide input into strategy documents, technical programmes, evaluation reports of technical programmes, and AP plans to support FOs
Function as the focal point for higher level programme issues, contextual information, consultation, field visits and initiatives between WVM and a programme country
Build and manage relationships with FO staff and AP staff to encourage transparency, mutual understanding and application of quality DME standards
Support and promote resource allocation and engagement strategy to help provide direction for WVM in continued support of NOs
Provide information to internal teams for reporting to donors for accountability purposes and to increase awareness about the progress and impact of the AP's development
Assist in coordinating funding commitments to WVM's funded programmes and projects
Assist in monitoring and coordinating all response to International Humanitarian Emergency Action
Support other internal departments’ needs for information from WVM's funded programmes and projects
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in development studies or any related field
Minimum two (2) years of working experience in NGO or related work
Good working command of spoken and written English
Detail-oriented and a quick learner
Good financial knowledge and Excel skills
Good planning and coordination skills
Good networking and collaboration/relationship building skills
Able to work independently as well as a good team player
