Moving onto the Green Wira Programme 📚
From extreme weathers to waste issues, climate change topics have never been more urgent and critical than ever before.

However, there is little education on sustainability for the young generation. Local educators and systems place little emphasis on climate change topics, resulting in lack of sustainability-focused knowledge, skills and guidelines for educators to absorb and feed forward. In building our next generation of change-makers, we believe empowering local educators is the key!

The Green Wira Programme by Zero Waste Malaysia aims to empower local educators to deliver zero waste lessons and projects in their respective schools. At the end of the day, the programme aims to build a waste-free and sustainable future for Malaysia, starting from early education schools.

About the Role
🥁🥁🥁 We're looking for a ✨vibrant and fun✨ Communications Intern to support Zero Waste Malaysia's social media, particularly working on the Green Wira Programme! In this paid internship, you'll have the opportunity to take charge of content strategy, execution and be involved in our flagship education programme, which aims to build more zero waste schools by empowering local educators.

Skills/Experience 🔨
(1) Background in Marketing, Social Media or Communication.
(2) Experience creating social media content.
(3) Interest in sustainability, education and zero waste.
(4) Open to being on camera, and producing tiktoker style videos.
(5) Must be able to converse fluently in BM and English.

Great to have: Experience running paid ads.
Great to have: Experience managing social media/marketing campaigns.

Job Expectations
- 40 hour flexible work week (might be required to work weekends as and when project requires).
- Intern will work closely with Programme Coordinator and report to Education Manager.
