Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management:
Oversee the development of social media content, designs, and campaigns, ensuring timely and relevant uploads across platforms.
Strategic Collaboration:
Identify and foster partnerships with stakeholders to implement impactful communication campaigns and events that align with project objectives.
Content Development:
Write and distribute press releases, feature articles, and other media content to highlight events and initiatives in a timely and engaging manner.
Advocacy Material Creation:
Curate and design compelling advocacy materials such as policy briefs, factsheets, and reports to effectively communicate key messages and support advocacy efforts.
Event Coordination:
Assist in organizing outreach events, including webinars, focus group discussions, consultations, convenings and briefings, to ensure meaningful engagement with target audiences.
Website Management:
Regularly update and maintain the Family Frontiers website, ensuring content aligns with organizational goals and messaging.
Team Collaboration:
Lead and work closely with the Social Media and Communications Intern to develop and execute a strategic communications plan in alignment with organizational objectives.
Newsletter Engagement:
Manage the creation, distribution, and tracking of the organization's newsletter to keep subscribers informed and engaged.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience in social media management, communications, or related fields.
Strong writing and editing skills for diverse audiences and platforms.
Proficiency in graphic design tools and multimedia creation.
Strong commitment to feminist and human rights principles and alignment with Family Frontiers' vision and mission.
Demonstrates knowledge of gender equality and a willingness to develop expertise in the field.
Bachelor's degree in media and communication/social sciences/ journalism, or a related field.
Experience in event coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Familiarity with website management (e.g., WordPress or similar platforms).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Passion for social justice and advocacy, particularly in the areas of gender and citizenship rights, is a plus.
