The Strategy Division is the custodian of overall organizational strategy and Khazanah’s progress towards its short-term and long- term goals. In a collaborative role, the Strategy Division ensures organizational alignment and continued enhancement in Khazanah’s capacity, capabilities, and strategy to achieve its mandate.
The Central Sustainability Team within the Strategy Division’s role is to coordinate a coherent sustainability response across Khazanah, covering Enterprise Sustainability, Sustainable Investments and Community Development activities and initiatives. The team collaborates closely with the rest of the organisation and the Sustainable Investments team within Investments Division to provide subject matter and implementation support.
Refine ES strategy and drive enterprise wide ESG programmes;
Recommend enhancements to the sustainability governance structure, if any;
Design, execute, and monitor progress of ES initiatives across relevant divisions;
Provide ESG insights to support enterprise policy development / enhancements, and where relevant, contribute to Khazanah’s thought leaderships;
Define and quantify measurements of ESG indicators; and
Ensure maintenance and implementation of ESG roadmap.
Support the Sustainable Investment team:
Where relevant, support the SI team in integrating SI across the investment value chain; and
Where relevant, provide sustainability insights to support investment policy development / enhancements, as well as investment decision making.
Community Development programmes:
Provide input to Community Development programmes ensuring alignment with Khazanah’s overall desired socio-economic outcomes; and
Report and communicate progress on these programmes to internal stakeholders periodically.
Sustainability reporting and communications:
Determine frameworks for sustainability / integrated reporting, and drive relevant disclosures;
Ensure appropriate tools and infrastructure are in place to capture the identified ESG indicators;
Track and monitor ESG progress against set targets and milestones;
Report and communicate sustainability progress to internal stakeholders periodically, e.g. through internal sustainability dashboards; and
Coordinate with Corporate Communications team on any external communications relating to Khazanah’s ESG pursuits.
Provide administrative support to facilitate sustainability discussions across divisions, Sustainability Panel, and the Board; and
Support external stakeholder engagement on sustainability, e.g. other institutional investors, international funds, CEO Action Network etc.
More than 5 years of relevant experience.
A Bachelor’s/MBA/Post-graduate Degree.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency and comfort with data analysis and data visualisation.
Experience in a sustainability related role in an investment management entity/corporate centre would be an added advantage.
