As Malaysia’s premier telecommunications and digital infrastructure provider, TM is well on its transformation journey into a technology and digital solutions partner to enterprises, Government as well as customers.

TM reported a net profit of RM895 mllion during FY2021, a 11.9% decrease from previous financial year.

The total dividend payout by TM during FY2021 is RM490 million.

Total cash contributions made by TM during FY2021, as found in their annual report, is RM4.49 million excluding the Group’s staff donation programme, “Tabung Solidarity COVID-19 TM”.

TM made a total in-kind contribution of RM23.55 million during FY2021 where the biggest contribution was RM15.7 million worth of scholarships.

No employee volunteer hours were reported by Telekom Malaysia Berhad.

2Nurturing Future-Ready LeadersN/ADigital literacy module worth RM174kN/A212 scholarsIn collaboration with Yayasan TM (YTM), Multimedia University (MMU) and INTEC Education College, the International Certification of Digital Literacy (ICDL) modules were delivered to YTM scholars to help them develop key digital skills as they pursue academic excellence in various fields. This contribution was worth RM174,000 and benefited 212 scholars from 7 cohorts.
3TM Future SkillsN/AIR4.0 technology module worth RM300,000N/A6,500 teachers and students in 339 schoolsDuring FY2021, TM Future Skills reached 6,500 teachers and students from 339 schools across Malaysia in collaboration with YTM, Pusat STEM Negara, Jabatan Pendidikan Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (JPWPKL). The delivery of the IR 4.0 technology modules equips them with IR4.0 knowledge and skills through Project-Based Learning (PBL) to develop digital talents for a future-proof ready workforce.
4unifi mobile package for studentsN/ASim card packages worth RM1.5MN/A6,000 B40 students6,000 B40 students were given unifi Mobile #BEBAS 15GB LTE sim cards package with one (1) year of free internet access worth RM250 to facilitate home-based teaching and learning nationwide during the MCO. The total contribution for this initiative was RM1.5 million in collaboration with Yayasan TM, AEON Co. Bhd., Bank Rakyat, Yayasan Raja Muda Selangor, Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa and Ministry of Education (MOE).
5CERDIK initiativeN/A20,320 one-year sim card package subscription and 320 laptops worth RM5.5MN/A20,640 studentsTM distributed 20,320 free one-year subscription of unifi Mobile #BEBAS 15GB LTE sim cards package and 320 laptops under the CERDIK initative, in collaboration with Yayasan Hasanah and Ministry of Education (MOE). This benefited a total of 20,640 students and the contributions amde were worth RM5.5 million.
6#MYBAIKHATI campaignN/ADistributed 115 refurbished laptops included with sim card packages worth RM209,017N/A60 B40 students#MYBAIKHATI campaign is a crowdsourcing initiative which collected 200 used smart devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones from businesses and members of the public. These devices were repaired then, the 155 refurbished devices included with unifi Mobile #BEBAS 15GB LTE sim cards package were redistributed benefiting 60 students from the lower income group to assist them in remote learning during COVID-19. This initiative was in collaboration with YTM, Malaysia Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Ministry of Education (MOE).
7TM Syawal contributionRM495kN/AN/A65 NGOsTM, in collaboration with Yayasan TM, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) and TM State Offices, worked with 65 NGOs and supported them through a contribution of RM495,000 to assist them in further conducting humanitarian and charity programmes to help those in need.
8National Food Basket' programmeRM2.00MN/AN/A20,000 familiesIn collaboration with Yayasan TM and Yayasan Kebajikan Negara , TM contributed RM2 million to Yayasan Kebajikan Negara for food aid (worth RM100) to feed 20,000 struggling families during the pandemic
9Tabung Solidarity COVID-19 TMRM1.00MN/AN/ARecipients of Tabung Bantuan Bencana Negara (TBBN)TNB established a platform for TM employees to contribute to the Government’s Tabung Bantuan Bencana Negara (TBBN), which provides aid to affected communities. The 'tabung' received a total fund of RM1.6 million, where RM800,000 were raised by employees and the additional RM800,000 were a one to one matching contribution made by the Group. RM1 million donation from the Tabung Solidarity COVID-19 fund was made to Government’s Tabung Bantuan Bencana Negara (TBBN).
10GLIC/GLC Disaster Response Network (GDRN)RM2.00M494 TMROVers deployed and other humanitarian efforts worth RM870kN/A5,000 familiesTM played an active role, acting as co-chair with Yayasan Hasanah, in GDRN to coordinate various relief worth RM46.0 million. During the major floods in FY2021, TM pledged RM2.0 million to help the affected communities. 144 TMROVers were also deployed for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme and over 350 TMROVers were mobilised for post-floods assistance and essential items distribution, worth RM870,000, in Selangor and Pahang.
11RAPIDE TVET Entrepreneurship' programmeN/AUpskilling programme worth RM150kN/A1,161 GIATMARA students and entrepreneursThe RAPIDE TVET Entrepreneurship Programme upskilled 1,161 TVET graduates and small entrepreneurs with digital business knowledge and solutions via an online training platform. This total contribution for this programme was RM150,000.
12Smart farming with senior citizensN/AWorkshops worth RM17kN/A100 senior citizensTM organised a series of workshops for 100 senior citizens, in collaboration with Yayaysan TM, Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas (PAWE) Putrajaya (PAWE Putrajaya) and Malaysia Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing), to run an in-house garden and generate additional income for their family/ neighbourhood. This smart farming workshop initiative was worth RM17,000.
13Supporting the arts communityN/AArt exhibitionN/A20,530 impactedTo raise public awareness on Malaysia’s national heritage while helping artists and performers whose livelihoods were affected by COVID-19, TM transformed the Muzium Telekom to an engaging public art space for artists and performers during Art in The City KLWKND. TM promoted local artists and showcased visual talents in Malaysia for a charity sale during the event while also promoting new content produced by MMU students, faculty and alumni and showcasing TM R&D and TM One innovations. This event impacted over 3,000 visitors, 221 musicians & crew, 93 arts performers, 21 visual artists, 10 people with disability visual artists, 50 digital artists, 135 MMU students and 17,000 online viewers.
14Preserving national heritageN/AOnline awareness competitionN/A800 participantsTM organised a series of online awareness and competitions related to our national heritage, in collaboration with Yayasan TM and Akademi Jawi Malaysia that received 800 submissions from contestants consisting of primary, secondary and university students in Malaysia.
