Creative use and re-use workshop
In this workshop participants will get to learn about the concept of adaptive re-use in building spaces and how architects and designers look into re-using old building spaces. This concept can be applied into our every day lives through art, design and creative thinking.
Rani Ee Bei a lecturer in architecture and fashion design will explore the art of re-using scrap fabrics as a tote bag ornament.

“Roots & Roofs” is a collaborative exhibition that re imagines architecture and design through the lenses of sustainability, cultural continuity, and community-rooted design. Anchored in the grassroots energy of Malaysian Architecture Week and the heritage community enterprise of The Bendahari Melaka, the exhibition is further enriched by the conservation-driven philosophy of the NUS Tun Tan Cheng Lock Centre and the creative innovation of the Architecture Department from Ciputra University.
The exhibition will be held across two venues in Melaka: the TTCL Centre and The Bendahari. They will serve as a hub for immersive installations, student showcases, creative workshops and community dialogues.
