Project Manager – Orang Asli Community Development
Description
This role supports the planning and running of community projects guided by Orang Asli priorities. The Project Manager will spend time in communities, build trust, coordinate activities, and help ensure projects run smoothly while staying true to local values and needs.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Orang Asli community leaders, elders, women, and youth
Support communities to plan, carry out, and review development activities
Coordinate with partners, volunteers, and supporters
Manage project timelines, simple budgets, and reports
Help strengthen community skills and confidence for long-term sustainability
Requirements
Experience in community work, project coordination, or grassroots organising
Comfortable working in Orang villages and community settings
Good communication skills with a respectful, open approach
Organised, responsible, and able to work independently
