The net profit of Telekom Malaysia increased in FY2024 to RM2.01 billion from RM1.87 billion during the previous financial year.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad reported a year-on-year net profit growth of 7.8%.

The Group declared a dividend payout of RM1.19 billion or 31 sen per share during FY2024.

The Group did not specify the total amount of contribution made towards Zakat during FY2024.

Total community investment made by Telekom Malaysia during FY2024, was RM39.79 million, benefiting over 95,610 people.

Telekom Malaysia did not specify the total employee volunteer hours in their FY2024 annual report.

2Driving Digital Empowerment in Rural CommunitiesN/A507 centresN/AYouthTM expanded the NADI programme, in collaboration with MCMC, to empower rural and urban poor communities with ICT-based education, entrepreneurship training and internet access. In 2024, this created value by increasing the number of TM-managed NADI centres from 483 to 507, which represents a 5% increase from 2023, out of 1,099 centres nationwide.

7Digital Empowerment for MSMEsN/AOnline resource educationalN/ACommunityTM shared 72 online resources for MSMEs’ self-development in 2024 and supported MSMEs through programmes such as Jelajah Saya Digital, Go Niaga and Jelajah DMS.
9Community Disaster Preparedness N/AEducational ProgrammeN/A857 disaster victimsTM conducted Disaster Preparedness Programmes for disaster-prone communities in Kelantan and Pahang and launched the Penyelesaian Berasaskan Alam (NBS) – Tabung Inovasi Bencana, where proceeds from cucumber and sweet potato crops fund disaster relief efforts. In 2024, this initiative trained 857 individuals, including 150 families, in disaster preparedness.
10Tsunami PreparednessN/AEducational ProgrammeN/A46 leadersTM conducted the Tsunami Preparedness Programme for community leaders and government agencies in Kudat, Sabah, ensuring a more coordinated and effective response to potential tsunami events. In 2024, a total of 46 leaders and government agency representatives were trained.
11Volunteer Capacity BuildingN/AEmployee Volunteer HoursN/ACommunityTM enhanced volunteer preparedness and response capabilities through the Program Latihan Asas Sukarelawan 101 and Water Safety and Basic Rescue training. In 2024, TM trained 159 volunteers from UTM Prihatin and TM Reaching Out Volunteers (TM ROVers) in disaster response readiness, and 156 volunteers were equipped with water safety and rescue skills.
12Humanitarian Relief SupportN/AEmployee Volunteer Hours / Relief Aid520 hours22,082 beneficiariesTM provided humanitarian support, including food, medical aid and essential non-food items, to communities affected by disasters. In 2024, a total of 22,082 individuals, including 3,142 families, benefitted from the programme. In addition, 36 volunteers contributed 520 volunteering hours through TM ROVers.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad reported a contribution of RM39.78 million as part of their community investment, a slight contribution amount increase from previous financial year benefiting 95,610 people. This isequivalent to a profit-to-giving ratio of 1.97%. TM allocated the majority of their giving, 62.5%, towards educational initiatives, followed by welfare and relief aid, respectively at 12.5%. On top of some notable flagship programmes such as TM Future Skills Programme, there were other educational initiatives as well suhc as the NADI programme, Digital Empowerment for MSMEs and Community disaster preparedness. The majority of TM’s contributions were directed towards the community and disaster victims, accounting for 35.3% respectively, followed by youth at 23.5%. Additionally, Telekom Malaysia Berhad disclosed a total of 520 employee volunteer hours through TMROVers in their sustainability report.
