The net profit of Maxis Berhad increased in FY2024 to RM1.39 billion from RM993 million during the previous financial year.

Maxis Berhad reported a year-on-year net profit growth of 40.58%.

In FY2024, the Company declared a dividend payout ratio of RM1.30 billion or 17 sen per share.

The Company did not specify the total amount of contribution made towards Zakat during FY2024.

Total cash contributions made by Maxis Berhad during FY2024 is RM5.72 million, as part of their community investment. 

The total employee volunteer hours reported by Maxis Berhad is 3,440 hours.

An additional 1,039 entrepreneurs were trained through MCMC’s NADI Smart Services, which provide internet access, digital literacy training and information on government initiatives to bridge the digital divide in underserved areas. In total, 4,483 entrepreneurs were trained.

Beneficiaries of Maxis Berhad

In FY2024, Maxis Berhad reported community investments amounting to RM5.28 million, with 50% allocated to educational initiatives, followed by welfare (25%), and relief aid and sponsorships at 12.5% each. This contribution represented 0.38% of the Group’s cash-to-profit giving ratio.

As part of its education-focused efforts, Maxis implemented initiatives such as eKelas and eKelas Usahawan. These initiatives reportedly benefited 65,141 individuals. In terms of beneficiary focus, the largest share of Maxis’s contributions was directed towards youth beneficiaries (62.5%), followed by the community at large (25%) and disaster victims (12.5%). Additionally, Maxis Berhad reported a total of 3,440 employee volunteer hours in its sustainability report.
