Hong Leong Financial Group Berhad offers an integrated suite of conventional and Islamic financial products and services which enables us to reach out and connect with customers not only in Malaysia, but throughout the region. Hong Leong Financial Group Berhad is an investment holding company and has three core businesses in the group;  Commercial and Islamic banking under Hong Leong Bank Berhad (“HLB”), Insurance and Family Takaful, housed under our insurance holding company HLA Holdings Sdn Bhd (“HLAH”) and Investment banking and asset management under Hong Leong Capital Berhad (“HLCB”).

Fiscal Year-End: 30 June 2024

The net profit of Hong Leong Financial Group increased in FY2024 to RM3.20 billion from RM2.79 billion during the previous financial year.

The year on year net profit growth at HLFG is at 11%.

HLFG’s dividend payout is through Hong Leong Bank Berhad which is at a ratio of 34%.

The Group did not specify the total amount of contribution made towards Zakat during FY2024.

Total community investment made by Hong Leong Financial Group during FY2024 was RM 502,695 as reported in their Bursa ESG Performance Data Table. 

There were no employee volunteer hours reported by HLFG in their annual and sustainability report during FY2024.

Overall, HLB invested RM476,600 in local communities, reaching 9,013 direct beneficiaries and 1,535 indirect beneficiaries.

Focus Areas and Beneficiaries of Hong Leong Financial Group Berhad

Hong Leong Financial Group reported total community investments of RM502,695 in FY2024, representing a 0.02% profit-to-giving ratio across its operating companies, Hong Leong Bank and Hong Leong Capital Berhad. The majority of community investments were directed towards welfare initiatives, followed by community development and education.

Most initiatives primarily benefited the community, with additional focus on women and the elderly. Notable initiatives included HLB Jumpstart and Hong Leong Capital Berhad’s support for local SMEs. However, no employee volunteer hours were reported by HLFG in FY2024.
