The net profit of Sime Darby Berhad increase in FY2023 to RM1.46 billion from RM1.10 billion during the previous financial year.

The year on year net profit growth at Sime Darby Berhad is at 32.37%.

The Group declared a higher dividend payout ratio for FY2023 at 61% which amounts to RM886 million or 13 sen per share.

The Group did not specify the total amount of contribution made towards Zakat during FY2023.

Total cash contributions made by Sime Darby Berhad during FY2023, as found in their annual report, is RM25 million made through Yayasan Sime Darby.

Total in-kind contributions are not defined due to incomplete data. However, contributions are still accounted for under the RM25 million contribution made through community investment.

Sime Darby Berhad did not specify the total employee volunteer hours in their FY2023 annual and sustainability report.

During FY2023, Sime Darby Berhad reported a contribution of RM25 million to Yayasan Sime Darby for philantrophic activities. In which 40% of this giving was allocated to Educational initiatives and 20% each to Environmental and Health programs. This contribution represents 1.71% of their cash-to-profit giving. As part of their educational efforts, Sime Darby organised a Safety Training Camp in Guangzhou to promote traffic safety and donated school supplies to a primary school in Guangdong. The majority of Sime Darby’s contributions were directed towards the Youth, accounting for 60%, followed by the Environment, Disaster Victims, Marine Life and the Community, all at 10% each. However, Sime Darby did not report any employee volunteer hours in their annual or sustainability report.
