During FY2023, Petronas Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG) reported a cash contribution of RM3 million towards community investment. Of this amount, 71.4% was allocated to environmental initiatives, while 14.3% was directed to educational programs and another 14.3% to health-related programs. This contribution represents 0.18% of their cash-to-profit giving. As part of their environmental efforts, PCG conducted various activities such as beach cleanups, waste collection, and plogging through their flagship initiative, Be Green And Plastic, Sustainability And You Education (PSYE). These initiatives reportedly benefited 170,000 people. Most of PCG’s contributions were directed towards environmental causes, with the remainder equally divided between youth and public programs, each receiving 14.3%. However, PCG did not report any employee volunteer hours in their annual or sustainability report.
