Description
PichaEats is looking for a Marketing Junior Lead to own and drive marketing across the business, from yearly campaign planning to the day-to-day performance of our ads, website and storefront.
Founded in 2016, PichaEats is a Malaysian halal catering social enterprise. We work with talented chefs and their families from refugee communities, from Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Myanmar and beyond, to serve corporate catering, bento delivery, buffets, canapés and event catering across the Klang Valley. Every order creates a livelihood, and every story we tell should honour the chefs behind the food.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a lean team. You will lead marketing with one Marketing Executive, work closely with our five-person sales team and the customer service team, and partner with the product team on new launches. You will set the direction and roll up your sleeves: building ads, writing copy, updating the website and reading the numbers yourself.

Responsibilities
Lead marketing and the team
- Own the overall marketing direction and be accountable for how marketing contributes to sales across all products.
- Hold weekly check-ins with the Marketing Executive on content, performance and upcoming campaigns, and coach them as they grow.
- Share customer insight with the product team on what sells, what customers respond to and where the gaps are.
Performance marketing
- Keep every campaign on track against the yearly calendar: Chinese New Year, Ramadan and Hari Raya, World Refugee Month, Deepavali, Christmas, plus off-festive launches.
- Plan multi-channel B2C and B2B campaigns, see them through, and review the results.
- Run Meta ads end to end for bento, catering, canapés, website sets and the storefront, from creative to data to optimisation.
- Check lead quality and conversion weekly with sales and customer service, and review monthly funnel and return on ad spend.
- Grow SEO and GEO presence with weekly Google Business Profile updates and a weekly blog post.
- Maintain and improve the website: copy, photography, product listings and campaign landing pages.
Storefront sales
- Own storefront sales: monitor orders daily, spot problems early, and turn sales trends (seasonality, best sellers, basket size, repeat customers, lead time) into action.
Brand building
- Lead deeper content such as our Flavours That Travel series, LinkedIn content and employer branding.
- Look after the brand across physical touchpoints, from packaging to festive and event buffet decoration.
- Give creative direction for photoshoots so our food and chefs are shown with care and consistency.
Requirements
You care about the communities we work with and believe food can cultivate empathy and inspire change. You tell chefs' stories with dignity rather than pity. You are a strong project manager who sees the big picture yet is comfortable in the detail of an ad set, a landing page or a sales report.
- 3 to 5 years of marketing experience, ideally covering both brand and performance marketing.
- Hands-on experience running Meta ads: creative, targeting, budget management and reporting.
- Working knowledge of SEO, Google Business Profile and website content management; GEO is a plus.
- Confident with data: funnels, sales trends and return on ad spend.
- Strong copywriting in English; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
- Experience leading or mentoring a junior team member is an advantage.
- Experience in F&B, catering, e-commerce or the social impact sector is a plus.
- A portfolio of previous campaigns and creative work is a bonus.
