They are seeking a Programme Manager for a cross-functional role within the Native ecosystem to develop Allyship initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead the Workstream: Oversee the development and execution of the Allyship pillar for Native Allies. Strategic Partner Engagement: Nurture and engage an allyship network of institutional partners. On-the-Ground Community Collaboration: Build trust and strong relationships with Orang Asli partners, working closely with them to implement initiatives. Programme Design: Design, implement, and manage public engagement programmes that align stakeholder aspirations with the organization's mission. Advocacy & Engagement: Cultivate a community of practice for meaningful indigenous allyship within wider Malaysian society.
Requirements
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in fields such as community engagement, leadership development, sustainability, or education. Project History: A proven track record of working with local communities on social or community development projects is essential. (Extensive volunteer experience will also be considered). Skills & Knowledge: A strong understanding of value-based leadership (as a practitioner or instructor) is a big plus. Education: Possession of a diploma or degree from a recognized institution (all fields of study are welcome). Languages: Excellent command of spoken and written English, alongside a working proficiency in Malay. Soft Skills: Ability to navigate conflict, manage polarities in thinking, work independently as well as collaboratively, and possess a thoughtful, kind, and good-humored personality. Mobility: Must possess own transportation (car) and be willing to travel independently.
