UNHCR Malaysia is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven digital fundraising professional to support the expansion of its digital acquisition programme. The role focuses on planning and implementing online fundraising campaigns, supporting omnichannel fundraising efforts, managing digital content, analysing performance data, and optimizing donor engagement and conversion through digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing online acquisition and fundraising campaigns (search, display, crowdfunding, social media).
- Support digital activities linked to omnichannel efforts such as DRTV, face-to-face fundraising, and lead generation.
- Review, digitize, schedule, and adapt web and social media content (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Analyse user journeys, mobile and social insights to optimize engagement and conversion.
- Coordinate digital assets between UNHCR offices and external agencies.
- Determine promotional tactics to increase web traffic and engagement.
- Support procurement processes and related administrative tasks.
- Assist with social media monitoring and community management.
- Support digital content creation, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Completion of Secondary Education or University degree in Communication, Sales & Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years (High School) or 1 year (Bachelor’s degree) experience in digital marketing/fundraising.
- Experience in executing digital fundraising tactics or direct sales at national level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage diverse workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and computerized systems.
- Experience in digital performance campaigns (search, social, display) preferred.
- Knowledge of mobile marketing, social media marketing, analytics, and tracking preferred.
- Experience in digital content management and social media community management preferred.
- Written and verbal fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia required.
- Knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset.
