Highlights From SD Guthrie Berhad's Giving

SD Guthrie Berhad reported community investments of RM55.40 million in FY2024, representing 2.56% of its cash-to-profit giving ratio, which was slightly lower than the 2.87% recorded in the previous financial year. These initiatives reportedly benefited 272,610 individuals. Additionally, SD Guthrie disclosed a total of 25,252 employee volunteer hours across 70 corporate social responsibility activities in its sustainability report.

However, despite recording the highest community investment–to–profit ratio (2.56%) among the companies analysed, SD Guthrie’s sustainability report did not provide detailed breakdowns of the contributions or initiatives undertaken throughout FY2024. This lack of disclosure limits transparency and makes it difficult to assess the scope, focus, and impact of its community investments.
