In FY2024, Sime Darby contributed a total of RM17.1 million in community investments, representing a 0.52% profit-to-giving ratio, which marked a decline compared to previous years. Separately, through Yayasan Sime Darby, its philanthropic arm, the Group contributed RM30 million in FY2024 to support scholarships and grants across education, sports, culture and environmental causes.

A significant portion of Sime Darby’s community investment was allocated to health-related initiatives (33.3%), with the remainder distributed across sponsorships, education, welfare and environmental initiatives. The community investments primarily benefited youth and the community at large, each accounting for 33.3%, followed by marine life and the general public. However, Sime Darby did not disclose any employee volunteer hours in its annual or sustainability reports.
