About the Role
We are in search of an enthusiastic, conscientious, and organized individual who is passionate about social impact to join AVPN as a Markets Intern for Malaysia.
The role requires an effective communicator with an entrepreneurial attitude along with the ability to be comfortable working in a geographically dispersed team as well as a commitment to advocating for AVPN’s mission and vision. This role will be co-responsible for the membership base in Malaysia, requiring familiarity of the region’s social investment landscape. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Malaysia.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Malaysian market team in research on prospect organisations and create target segment specific value proposition pitch decks
- Support the Malaysian markets team in research on specific strategic initiatives
- Create demand generation campaigns for target organisations
- Support the Malaysian market team on communication related tasks like social media campaigns and content generation
- Coordinate and support events and programmes that include members, SPOs and partners in Malaysia, including but not limited to roundtable and panel discussions, workshops, webinars and seminars.
- Support with planning and implementation for the AVPN Global Conference, a signature event in the region
- Support Markets Team with knowledge and data management
Requirements
Key Skills and Experiences:
- Demonstrates familiarity with the social investment ecosystem in Malaysia and other countries in the Southeast Asia region
- Experience in member/partnership management or business development
- Secondary and Primary Research capabilities
- Ability to create targeted marketing campaigns
- Strong communication skills: ability to communicate internally with teams, represent AVPN externally and identify opportunities to support members in their efforts to achieve social impact.
- Good networking and prospecting skills combined with strong marketing skills and ecosystem knowledge
- Ability to identify opportunities for membership growth and engagement
- Results-oriented attitude with clear focus on converting opportunities into outcomes
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of independence while being proactive in sharing and leveraging network and knowledge with colleagues.
