Did you know that there is an increasing rise of latchkey kids in the past decade? These school-age children regularly spend part of the day unsupervised at home while their parents are at work. They are at a high risk of being influenced negatively by their surroundings.
Shelter After School (SAS) aims to provide a safe space for these latchkey kids where children, teens and youths can engage meaningfully and productively in the centre outside school hours while parents are at work or seeking employment.
The centre runs from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (except public holidays).
From guiding a student on school homework to reading with a child through the literacy programme or providing tuition help for those struggling academically, there is something for everyone!
Do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions about the programme! ✨
We are excited to have you onboard with us!
