Senior Research Associate - Center of Technology, Strategy and Sustainability, Asia School of Business
Description
To be an active member of the research team within the Center of Technology, Strategy and Sustainability (CTSS) to be a leading center of excellence and research on business strategies and technology in emerging markets and their socio-political environment. The CTSS hosts a flagship research project and various smaller research project each year, while actively engaging the academic, policymaking, private sector and public audiences on the research outputs from the center.
The senior research associate is an important member in assisting in conducting, publishing and disseminating rigourous and impactful research. Currently, the CTSS is focusing research on the area of energy transition and renewable energy, including a focus on coal transition in Malaysia, hydrogen energy and other topics.

Responsibilities
To actively perform and lead parts of the research center flagship research project, from planning and initiating research project, literature review, data collection, analysis, writing and dissemination, in order to ensure the successful publication of research output within the planned period.
To actively lead, with approval and guidance from the senior members of the research center, in personal research project, from planning and initiating research project, literature review, data collection, analysis, writing and dissemination, in order to ensure the successful publication of research output within the planned period.
To lead the organising and running the research events, workshop, seminars and events of the research center for the dissemination of the research output and greater engagements between the research centers and the wider research community and public.
To lead the research output dissemination to relevant stakeholders from policymakers, private sector stakeholders, civil society stakeholders and the general public to create research impact from the research project.
To supervise research associates of the research center, especially for research projects which they lead.
To lead in the general promotion of the research center output and activities to increase the awareness of the research center.
To lead in the engagement with the wider research community globally for the research center to build a wider research network for the research center.
To assist and contribute to the general activities of the research centers as directed by research center’s leadership.
Requirements
Masters Degree in Social Sciences preferred, with 3 years minimum research-related experience.
Good command of English and Malay (spoken and written).
Advanced knowledge in research data collection and analysis methodology and tools either in qualitative or quantitative methods.
Ability to independently learn qualitative and quantitative research data collection and analysis methodology.
