    Description

    To coordinate, organize, communicate, execute and report on MAG sustainability initiatives across Governance, Environment, Economics, Social, Safety & Security (GEESS) pillars, directly supporting Head Sustainability in her role as the organization’s key Sustainability Champion to elevate MAG’s standing amongst the global Sustainability Community in line with the MAG Sustainability Blueprint

    Responsibilities
    • Key Accountability
    • To propose plan, execute and run sustainability initiatives workstream, with clear direction from the Head and team members, facilitate in the workstream, and continue to support PMOs in execution of deliverables, align to the KPIs, based on the MAG Sustainability Blueprint
    • Lead / co-lead in the annual production of the Sustainability Report and engagement with external stakeholders such as
    • Sustainability Rating Agencies, Financial Institutions (banks & investors), governmental agencies, NGOs, corporate clients, etc.
    • Support each Business Units and SisterCo of each sustainability program to achieve their key performance targets, compile and analyze data, preparing draft reports and slides/papers
    • Develop and fine-tune overall sustainability strategies including the development of methodologies/metrics to assess the viability and success of sustainability initiatives
    • Conduct analysis for sustainability databank, Carbon Reporting (CORSIA, EU ETS, GHG data).
      Key Challenges
    • Comfortable communicating high level concepts to the Head/lead, whilst also being able to delve into detail of complex changes when required
      Ability to effectively work closely with other Business Units (working level) to achieve the same goal
      Ability to effectively execute clear directions from the Head and monitor the implementation of the sustainability initiatives developed
      Responsive and able to highlight risks to the Head / lead early
    Requirements

    Qualification & Experience

    • Degree in Environmental Science/Economics/Business Administration/Engineering/Mathematics or any relevant field with < 5 years experience, proven track record of successful programme implementation, demonstrated initiatives delivery skills, strong people leadership, stakeholder influencing and engagement

      Skills & Knowledge

    • Prior experience in preparing Sustainability Report and familiarity with Sustainability reporting standards (Global Reporting Initiatives, GRI) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals
    • Familiarity with emerging sustainability governance frameworks/standards such as Science-based target initiatives (SBTi), Green House Gases (GHG), Green Financing, Sustainable Procurement as well as carbon accounting, waste management, fuel efficiency, etc
    • Strong project and stakeholder management and skills, with the ability to influence and manage conflicting groups of internal stakeholders to drive outcomes
    • Knowledgeable on key sustainability issues and areas of focus (i.e., carbon accounting, waste management, fuel efficiency, social sustainability etc.)
    • Added value: Good skills & knowledge in Microsoft Office (excel, power point, words etc)
