RYSE is a Malaysian research and social outreach programme. Our vision is to reduce youth unemployment and increase upward socio-economic/wealth mobility of Malaysian youth. Our mission is to expose, upskill, and support youth through entrepreneurship and employability programmes to increase their chances at upward mobility. We are currently supported by Citi Foundation and hosted in Asia School of Business.
We run entrepreneurship and employability programmes to train and to support young people who are interested in starting up their own businesses or upskill themselves to improve their employability. Research data collection is also embedded in the programmes to contribute to academic research on entrepreneurship and youth employability.

About the Role
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join us on our mission to create upward mobility for Malaysian youth. Other than relevant qualifications and experiences, we need someone who shares our mission and is aligned with our core values. We are looking for someone to start immediately.
Working hours are Mondays – Fridays, 9am – 6pm. There will be an hour unpaid lunch break. Salary ranges from RM4,200 – RM5,200 per month, depending on levels of commitment and experience. No employment pension fund or insurance is included as it is a contract-based job. Insurance allowances will be provided for full-time employees.
The work base is at Asia School of Business but the Operations Manager is also expected to be independent to work remotely and maintain constant communication with the team on dates decided by management.
The Operations Manager will be overseeing and executing the daily operations of the Programme and Research. The person will
Co-developing detailed project plans with the Programme and Research team to guide the team and stakeholders.
Reviewing and revising project plans based on changing needs and requirements of the Programme and Research teams.
Monitoring project performances to ensure timely delivery and completion.
Compiling and submitting project status reports to management and other stakeholders.
Be in charge of recruiting process and human capital management.
Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
Build alliances and partnerships with other organisations.
Support worker communication with the management team.
Other administrative or Programme tasks required.
**You are expected to be flexible and ready to occasionally assist with additional tasks beyond the job description.
Passionate about social impact and youth empowerment
Experience with statistical analysis and data processing
Works well under pressure and deadlines.
Practical knowledge of budgeting, cash-flow management, and expense reporting.

Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Experience in managing social projects and education programmes
Experience teaching or training young people
Experience in designing marketing visuals or managing marketing platforms
Good proficiency in Mandarin or Tamil
