📢 Call for Refugee Artists
Fugee and =Dreams Asia are excited to announce an open call for refugee artists to participate in an art mentorship, exhibition, and auction. This is your chance to shine and share your perspective through your art!
🟢 What is the event?
The event will consist of three parts:
- An art mentorship (estimated to be December 2023 - February 2024): Selected artists will be mentored by established Malaysian artists to refine their ideas, improve their technique, and share advice on the art industry. During this period, you will create the artwork that is to be exhibited and auctioned.
- An exhibition (estimated to be February/March 2024) The works of the participating artists will be exhibited in a public gallery.
- An auction (March 2024): The artworks will be auctioned off in a Singapore auction event with the proceeds going to the artists and Fugee's programmes.
🔵 Who can apply?
The event is open to all refugee artists who are currently living in Malaysia.
🟡 How to apply?
To apply, please submit the following:
- Your contact details
- A portfolio of your artwork
- An artist statement. Tell us a little bit about yourself, your art practice, and what you plan to create.
