    Description

    A Program Manager, who will report to the Executive Director, to support refugee-led community-based organisations (CBOs) in Kuala Lumpur in their own efforts of organisational development and coordination of community-based programs.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibility within the Role:
    • Identify community and organisational needs of partner refugee-led CBOs
    • Carry out and support community needs assessments
    • Support partner refugee-led CBOs in their organisational development
    • Oversee the development of administrative systems of partner refugee-led CBOs
    • Coordinate capacity-building workshops and training for partner refugee-led CBOs
    • Support partner refugee-led CBOs in their advocacy efforts
    • Support partner refugee-led CBOs in their community program coordination and assessments
    • Support partner refugee-led CBOs in the drafting of program and advocacy documents
    • Oversee the disbursement of community funds with financial oversight
    • Draft narrative and financial reports on the program implementation
    • Build networks with other refugee-led CBOs, NGOs and potential funders
    • Attend conferences, events and consultations

    Requirements

    Application Requirements:
    • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
    • Knowledge of issues related to women, migration and displaced populations
    • Compassionate and empathetic communicator
    • Experience in project planning and implementation
    • Able to multitask, organise, and set task priorities
    • Able to collect and analyse data
    • Proficient in Google Suite
    • Strong attention to detail

    Good to Have:
    • Experience in non-profit community empowerment, community welfare or community building.
    • Experience in advocacy
    • Hands-on experience in interacting and working with refugees/non-profit projects
