Vision

PWDC envisions a Penang which upholds in practice the principles of substantive equality among women and men, good governance and social justice

Mission

PWDC seeks to mainstream gender into key policies, programmes, and practices of the public sector, and to transform the necessary structures and culture through advocacy, capacity development and strategic partnerships with different sectors of society.

Objectives

1. To support the capacities of state and local governments to integrate gender perspectives into policies, programmes, and practices.
2. To strengthen women’s leadership and political participation.
3. To enhance women’s participation in economic life.
