Develop and maintain a network of reliable meal sponsors, including corporate sponsors and FMCG companies that donate food items.
Negotiate favourable meal sponsorship terms to achieve a target cost per meal, while ensuring nutritional value and food safety standards.
Optimize meal sponsorship logistics to minimize gaps, last-minute changes, and food wastage.
Establish new partnerships, to expand the pool of reliable, cost-effective meal sources.
Soup Kitchen Operations Oversight:
Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans, policies, and procedures for the soup kitchen to meet organizational goals and service delivery targets.

Oversee the procurement, storage, deliveries, and distribution of food supplies, including both cooked meals and donated shelf-stable items, for the soup kitchen.
Manage and lead the soup kitchen staff, including volunteers, to ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with food suppliers, local authorities, and community partners to support soup kitchen operations.
Represent the KSK organization at external events and stakeholder meetings (local authorities, community partners and meal sponsors)
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Monitor and analyze operational data, such as meal counts, costs, and feedback, to identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency.
Collaborate with the KSK management team to align soup kitchen activities with the organization's overall strategy and goals.
Develop budgets and financial reports for the soup kitchen operations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food handling regulations.
Volunteer Management and Development:
Manage a dedicated team of volunteers to support the soup kitchen's daily operations.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and rewarding volunteer experience to ensure high retention and productivity.
Provide ongoing training and skill-building opportunities to enhance the volunteers' capabilities.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the food service or non-profit sector is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of food safety, logistics, and supply chain management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team of staff members and volunteers.
Proficient in data analysis and the use of performance management tools.
Passionate about making a positive impact in the community and improving food security.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Mandarin or Cantonese is an added advantage.
