Description
Yayasan Kajian & Pembangunan Masyarakat is looking for someone who is passionate in empowering the Orang Asli, loves nature and willing to work as a team that is working towards community transformation and development of a green economy. YKPM has pioneered a one of a kind Orang Asli community enterprise that puts people and environment in the center of businesses.
As a result of this bottoms up shared prosperity model, YKPM is now quickly expanding and equipping the OA to develop sustainable livelihoods and environment. In this expansion, we are looking for suitable candidate to help strengthen the markets of organic vegetables among the Orang Asli communities, provide support to the farmers and manage project deliverables on community development.
We are looking for someone who has project management skills, enjoys immersing in Orang Asli culture and inspire change for a better society.
Responsibilities
Marketing
- To research and provide support for crop/product development & plant health includes packing material, labels, seeds, piping, pump, planting material etc
- Liaise with farmers in crop planning and reduction of wastage
- Liaise with farmers on record of harvest, sales and wastage
- Liaise with farmers to monitor SOPs are followed and machineries, lorries are maintained
- Ensure harvest and sales records are accurate and farmers paid in timely manner
- Identify issues, solutions and Present monthly marketing report
- To engage with key market partners or stakeholders to develop sustainable strategic partnership, timely payments and maintain good relationships with existing partners
- Support to Research for new markets as needed
Programme Development
● Support in crafting proposals with project details such as problem statement,
objectives, programme design, timeline and costing
Project Management
● To support in the creation and management of project timelines (e.g reporting,
implementation periods, etc.)
● To manage key deliverables (e.g meetings, execution of projects, data collection, baseline surveys etc.)
● To oversee logistical arrangement for groundwork execution (e.g Visits, training venue,
materials, resource persons, etc.)
- To collate and analyse data for impact reporting to stakeholders through progress reports and overall impact reports with further support in improvement research
● To streamline knowledge management of the team through preparing minutes and
compiling and organising resources according to their specific project folders
Research Development
Requirements
- Independent , innovative and has good organizational skills.
- Has good command of Excel and Word.
- Willing to travel and stay in OA village every 2 weeks. (2-3 nights per trip).
