A Malaysian tax exempt social enterprise inspired to be a catalyst for the textile and clothing circular economy with environmental, economic and social impacts. KMSB was awarded the Social Enterprise Accreditation (SE.A) status by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC) for positive impacts it has contributed to the environment.
By 2030, KMSB commits itself to be South East Asia’s preferred and trusted solution provider in managing and innovating textile waste and keeping them away from the landfills. KMSB’s approach in addressing textile waste is through the establishment and development of value chains and movements where multi stakeholders join hands to divert waste from the landfills and in turn, the waste is recycled into new products and resources with higher material value and purpose. Driven by passion and filled with determination, KMSB strives to improve the livelihoods of women from the impoverished, struggling and vulnerable communities with economic empowerment through job opportunities.
Since its formation on 11.12.13, KMSB continues to uphold its Kloth 5R philosophy of “Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle” towards combating climate change arising from textile and clothing pollution.
Kloth Malaysia also runs the following social impact brands: Kloth Cares, Kloth Cares Fabric Recycling Movement (KCFRM) and Woman Up by Kloth Cares (Woman Up).
