42 Iskandar Puteri is a completely free computer-programming school with a peer-to-peer learning environment that does not involve teachers and lectures, designed for one to develop the skills needed to jump-start a career as a software engineer using a project-based learning approach.
After having successfully established 42 in Paris and more than 20 other countries, the first 42 was established in Malaysia as a joint collaboration between Sunway Education Group, Khazanah Nasional Berhad and Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, operated by Sunway iLabs.
This is our 2nd campus in Malaysia called 42 Iskandar Puteri in Johor!
We are looking for an experienced and effective Head of Campus to oversee our organisation's ongoing operations and procedures. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for the efficiency of the business, which includes maintaining the entire 42 Iskandar Puteri campus matters and team structure. The goal is to secure the functionality of the business to drive extensive and sustainable growth on both students’ capacity and support from industry.
Responsibilities
Operational Management:
Develop and implement efficient operational systems, processes, and policies to ensure smooth functioning of the campus with the assistance of 42 Malaysia team.
Ensuring the campus is the best environment for the students.
Oversee facilities management such as maintenance, safety and upgrades with vendors.
Strategic Planning:
Develop a strategy to launch 42 Iskandar Puteri.
Identify industry partners from public and private sector and collaborate on projects.
Work closely with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans for campus expansion and improvement.
Identify and implement best practices for operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor the operations team, setting clear goals and expectations.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement as per 42’s mission.
Ensure a safe and open space for any student / staff member.
Budget and Financial Oversight:
Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
Secure sponsorship from public and private industry players in the region for the sustainability of 42 Iskandar Puteri.
Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures that enables alternative revenue streams.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with local education players around the region to create an awareness of the 42 Iskandar Puteri programme.
Work with local media partners to create awareness for the public.
Innovation & Improvement:
Champion the adoption of new technologies and innovative practices to enhance campus operations.
Evaluate and update operational processes regularly for continuous improvement.
Requirements
General
42 Iskandar Puteri is the 2nd campus of the 42 Malaysia group, a non-profit nation building initiative in collaboration with Sunway Education, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Sunway Iskandar Sdn Bhd & Sunway iLabs. The aim is to expand 42’s reach to the southern region and create the next generation of talents through its revolutionary peer-to-peer pedagogy. 42 Iskandar Puteri will be onboarding 100 students during its first year of operations in 2024.
The Head of Operations of 42 Iskandar Puteri will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the campus. This role involves strategic planning, overseeing the development and implementation of operational policies, managing staff, and ensuring a high-quality service delivery to support the educational objectives of the institution.

At least 3 years of working experience in managing a team and able to oversee the daily business and administrative operations as well as improving operating procedures for optimal efficiency.

Establishing policies that improve and promote the vision and culture of the department, aligning with overall 42 Malaysia ecosystem.
Has access to industry network to build a relationship with existing and future Anchor partners.
