Lead and perform a full spectrum of communications functions for Impact Malaysia. This is a full-stack communications role, including social media, publicity, content creation and support roles in programs.
Responsibilities
Assist with the Business unit to build and maximize branding efforts and collaboration, by actively engaging stakeholders and maintaining brand voice.
Communications
Manage Impact Malaysia’s brand and reputation to grow Impact Malaysia’s visibility, presence and credibility.
Lead the execution of communications tasks, especially content creation, social media management and public relations.
Lead the reporting and optimization of digital content.
Content
Lead in creating content with high engagement and conversion rates for Impact Malaysia
Create creative contents, edit and curate still and moving images, write copy and ensure relevant tagging and scheduling across a variety of social media platforms. Content includes social media, short videos, reels, presentations, infographics, booklets, articles or any type of copywriting needed by the organization.
Expected to do good and efficient research, content sourcing and data extraction for the purpose of content and any other purpose assigned. Able to research industry-related topics and produce engaging copies for end users.
Create, rewrite and edit original copy for all contents. Also expected to edit content produced by other members of the team.
Must exercise a keen eye for detail, be problem solvers, and prepare to be the last line of defense before content ends up in front of the user.
Work with decision makers and executors to create content with high engagement and conversion rates.

Brand
Responsible for curating brand messaging and expanding brand reach.
Review and update program branding.
Strive towards deeper understanding of target groups, especially Malaysian youth in general.
Align brand messaging and brand voice to the full spectrum of communications work.
Social Media
Responsible for managing official social media channels, including community management.
Develop and own content marketing calendars, content plans and execute these. Must be hands on with writing and working with program leaders and the Creative Team.
Assist in reporting and optimization of social media content - including paid social where needed. Able to measure eyeball rates, social and web, i.e conversion and bounce rates.
Analyze content marketing metrics and make changes as needed and implement a tracking mechanism if needed for digital content distribution.
Public Relations
Contribute to the development of communications and PR strategies aligned to the organization.
Must be comfortable and ready to assist or lead PR work whenever needed.
Produce an analysis of media coverage for public image, when needed.
Engagement
Contribute to the organization’s stakeholder management and engagement.
Organize, attend and report on stakeholder meetings where required.
Assist in researching suitable partners for every segment within project engagement model
General Management
Assist in management tasks to ensure the smooth operation and process improvements of Impact Malaysia
Contribute to Impact Malaysia programming and execution.
Assist with the strategy, planning, execution, innovation and monitoring including reporting of all Impact Malaysia’s programs and initiatives.
Practice consistent quality control of finance, administration, systems and resource management needed to achieve the business unit’s goals.
Assist in the management of Impact Integrated’s digital storage system and digital production assets, and ensure all files and assets are properly documented, and archives taken care of
Manage capacity building for self in consultation with supervisor and expected to coach and share knowledge with fellow team members to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Performs ad-hoc job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in any field, but specialization in any field of Communications is preferred
Working Experience:
1 - 2 years, with a minimum of one (1) year in Communications work. Preferably communications generalists / integrated communications practitioners coming from nonprofit backgrounds. Strategic communications and branding experience is a plus
Trainings Required:
Digital marketing, Wordpress, Adobe Suite, project management.
Skills Required (Professional Attributes) :
Experience creating content for social media channels
Experience in creating communications collaterals for nonprofit work and/or advocacy campaigns
Experience churning out research papers/data materials into content
Develop content strategy across all social media channels
Experience creating campaign and present analytics report
Skills Required (Software expertise) :
Content design or UI/UX
Working knowledge on Adobe Illustrator and Premiere Pro
Office / MacOS work applications, and co-working applications i.e Google Suite apps
Simpler applications for video and graphic work, including but not limited to Canva and Capcut.
Editing of Wordpress websites
Skills Required (Hardware expertise) :
