This position is full-time and requires working in our Kuala Lumpur office at least three days per week. As a Programme Associate, you will be a part of the Accelerated School Leaders Initiative (ASLI) programme team that delivers training to school leaders from Orang Asli schools in Perak. You will also be part of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team which is in charge of the measurement and evaluation of the ASLI programme. The Programme Associate reports to the Programme Director and Managers from the ASLI Programme team and MEL department.

Programmes:
Work with the programme team to deliver PEMIMPIN GSL’s Accelerated School Leaders Initiative (ASLI) for School Leaders in Orang Asli schools in Perak. Work with Organisation Leads and Programme Manager(s) to:
Develop customised and contextualised content which are catered to the needs of the school leaders
Deliver workshops to school leaders (e.g. Pengetua, Guru Besar, Penolong Kanan), in Bahasa Malaysia
Conduct coaching sessions with school leaders in Perak
Facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLC) with school leaders
Manage school leaders to ensure continued participation in the programme and continuous improvement in respective schools
Execute any assigned programmatic tasks by Programme Director and Manager(s)
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL):
Work with Organisation Leads and Programme Manager(s) to:
Conduct ongoing analysis of existing and new programmatic data, producing recommendations for the programme
Implement measurement framework and analysis tools to measure programme effectiveness, generating insights to inform the running for the programme
Co-design with the MEL team systems for data capture and implementation to develop user-friendly and effective implementation with reviews, where necessary
Communicate impact catered to both internal and external stakeholders in easily-understandable and timely reports
Required Competencies
Passionate about PEMIMPIN GSL’s mission and the movement, with a desire to operate within PEMIMPIN GSL’s vision and values
Passionate about the ASLI programme’s mission and values by working with Orang Asli schools across Malaysia
Ability to communicate ideas effectively and critically, both verbally and in writing, in Bahasa Melayu and English
Work collaboratively in a team environment and is adaptable to working efficiently in a fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
Ability to relate and connect with school leaders, to build strong relationships for effective and personalised school support
Creative and critical in proposing strategies and solutions for the programme
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace platforms
Adequate data and contextual analysis skills to draw accurate conclusions and provide insights to guide actions
Being fit to do monthly travels to Perak to carry out workshops and coaching sessions in Orang Asli schools in Perak
Requirements
1 to 4 years working experience with a Bachelor’s degree (in any field)
1 to 2 years of practice as an educator in any capacity
Experience in coaching/mentoring teachers and facilitating training sessions would be an added advantage
Experience in reporting, analytics and research would be an added advantage
Experience in non-profit organisations or social sectors would be an added advantage
